Nickel
The metal that gives cheap jewellery its allergy.
Nickel is found in coins and plated jewellery and is best known for contact allergy. Inhaled, it behaves differently: it accumulates in nasal and lung tissue. Some nickel compounds are classed by IARC as Group 1 carcinogens.
